Minimising Gambling Harm filtered by Chinese

Te Tari Taiwhenua Department of Internal Affairs and Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora have updated the Gamble Host resources to reflect the 2023 amendments to the Harm Minimisation Regulations 2004.

The suite of Gamble Host resources provides education, guidance and training packages to societies, clubs, and venues that manage class 4 gambling. They include:

  • leaflets and posters for use with people that gamble
  • quick reference resources for use on the floor inside venues
  • guidance for venue managers and staff to help carry out their responsibilities
  • training tools and resources for people who deliver training to staff that supervise class 4 gambling.

You can get further information on your responsibilities when providing Class 4 gambling on the DIA website.

Our Safer Gambling Aotearoa campaign aims to increase awareness of the early signs of harmful gambling. It encourages people to seek help and take positive action early, both for themselves and for those they care about.

Health NZ promotes these messages at a national level and works with various services around the country to promote these at a local level.

You can visit the Safer Gambling Aotearoa website for more information.
